Michael J. Guidas, Sr.

Michael J. Guidas Sr. passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 31, 2017, at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. He was 85. Mr. Guidas was a resident of Bridgeport, PA and was formerly of Swedeland, PA. He worked as an Instrumentation Mechanic for Boeing Helicopters. Michael enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, golf, and watching the Philadelphia Eagles. Michael was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving aboard the USS Enterprise from 1952 to 1956. Born in New Philadelphia, PA on May 11, 1932, he was a son of the late Michael E. and Amelia (Ruczko) Guidas. He was the husband of the late Virginia (Damiani) Guidas, who died in April of 2017. Surviving is his loving family including three sons: Michael (Julia) Guidas of Rienholds, PA, John (Joann) Guidas of King of Prussia, PA and Anthony Guidas of Bridgeport, PA; a daughter, Gina (Tim) Mhay of Lafayette Hill, PA; five grandsons: Michael and his fiancé, Adrianna, David, Brandon, Connor and Gage; and a brother, Richard Guidas of Lakewood, CA. He was preceded in death by a sister, Marie Guidas Hetherington. Michael’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St., Bridgeport, PA on Monday, January 8, 2018 at 10:00 am. The family will receive relatives & friends on Monday from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.
