Michael J Hudak Iii

Michael J. Hudak III, 67 of Newark, DE is free to fly the heavenly skies without bodily restrictions anymore! He passed away suddenly yet peacefully at his residence on Dec. 24, 2021, due to complications with Diabetes and heart disease. He will always be remembered for his love of flying, either as a pilot or flying radio-controlled airplanes. He will be deeply missed for his sense of humor and endearing qualities. He achieved his private pilots’ license and was an airplane mechanic for more than 25 years. As if working on planes wasn’t enough, he developed his love of RC planes at an early age with his father Mike Jr. and enjoyed flying, building, and teaching all aspects of the hobby. Though it was a hobby to most, Mike was a serious RC enthusiast and though the last few years of his life were consumed with health issues, he still dreamed of getting “down to the flying field” and spending time with his friends at the Delaware RC Club and “winging it”! His abilities included, but were not limited to, auto mechanic, computer repair/programming, small appliance repair, household repair and anything else in need of fixing. He enjoyed assisting his friends and neighbors at Marydale Retirement Village where he resided, with anything they needed, and volunteered with activities or services they offered within the community. He is predeceased in death by his father Michael J. Hudak Jr., his mother Ellen V. Cooper Hudak, his sister Carol M. Hudak Rivera, and nephew James Steven Hudak. He is survived by his brother and sister in-law James E. Hudak Sr., and Angie Addison, his sister and brother in-law Ona-Kai Young and John Young III, Nephews James E. Hudak Jr., and wife Crystal, Zachary Young, Aaron Young. His nieces Cheyenne Hudak Goralski and husband Frank Goralski, and Amy Lynn Hudak. A memorial service will be held in his honor at a future date.
