Michael Lee Reifsnyder

Michael Reifsnyder, 70, of Jenkintown, PA passed away Sunday, February 12th, 2023 peacefully, at Abington-Jefferson Health, Abington.

Michael was born in Reading, PA on December 23, 1952, a son of Janice Ann (Lascomb) Reifsnyder and the late Floyd Eugene Reifsnyder.

The family moved to Jenkintown when Mike was young and he lived there throughout his life. He was a graduate of Jenkintown High School. He worked as a house painter and then owned and operated Pioneer Painting. After, he worked for many years at SPS Technologies from where he retired.

Michael served his community as a volunteer at Pioneer Fire Company, starting as a Junior Firefighter in his teens. He was a Lifetime Member of the department. Mike also enjoyed hiking, birdwatching, reading about American and local history, genealogy and spending time with his family.

Beloved son of Janice & Floyd; Dear Brother of Lisa Gruber (Bob) and Jodi Adrian (Tom), both of Glenside.

Also survived by loving nieces and nephews of whom he was very proud: Alison, Emil, Johanna and Ilsa Gruber and Evelyn and Nathan Adrian.

Services are private at the convenience of family. A gathering to celebrate Michael’s life will be planned for family and friends in the coming months.
