Michael J. Richardson, Sr.

Michael J. “Mike” Richardson, Sr. passed away peacefully on Friday, October 6, 2017, surrounded by his family at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. He was 64 years of age, a resident of Bridgeport, PA and the former maintenance supervisor for the Central Montgomery MHMR Center in Norristown, PA. He enjoyed hunting, Glenn Campbell music, visits to his favorite place, Emporium, PA, and spending time with his family. Michael was our “go-to man for everything.” Michael will be truly missed for his selflessness and acts of kindness. Born in Elkton, MD on September 4, 1953, he was a son of Joyce A. (Myers) Richardson and the late Joseph Richardson, Jr., who died in 1988. Surviving is his loving family including his mother and her husband, Frank Schoendorfer of Collegeville, PA; his loving and devoted fiancée, Rose Ann Brady; two sons, Michael J. (Arinna) Richardson, Jr. of Los Angeles, CA and Thomas (Tonya) Brady of Huntington, WV; three daughters: Jaime Richardson (David Petett) of Pittsburgh, PA, Pamela (Stephen V.) Broughton of Pottstown, PA and Kelly (Joseph) Richetti of Norristown, PA; eight grandchildren: a brother, Jeffrey A. (Alyx) Richardson of Newark, DE; a sister, Lynda J. (Jack) Schmitz of King of Prussia, PA; three step-brothers: Frank (Lynn) Schoendorfer, Jr. of N. Wales, PA, David (Mary) Schoendorfer of Houschton, GA and Dean (Rosemary) Schoendorfer of Abington, PA; a step-sister, Lori (John) Dorsz of Newtown Square, PA; and many loving family members. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Leigh Richardson. Michael’s Funeral Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 10:30 am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 9 to 10:20 am, at the funeral home. Interment will be in Green Tree Church of the Brethren Cemetery, Oaks, PA.
