Michael J. Sherlock passed away after a courageous battle with cancer on Monday, May 18, 2026 at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 64 years old. Born in Chester, PA, he was a son of the late James F. Sherlock and the late Ethel Mary (Hussey) Sherlock. He grew up in Springfield and as a kid played football for Springfield Boys Club. Michael worked in construction as a welder with Lane Enterprises for 20+ years and was a devoted member of the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company. He was an avid Eagles and Flyers fan, but also supported all the Philadelphia sports teams. He also enjoyed fishing and NASCAR.
Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Fietta J. Glauner-Sherlock; two step-daughters, Jessica R. MacEachern and Laura A. Rotruck; a granddaughter, Olivia Heavner; his brother, Jim Sherlock (Jennifer); his sister, Marybeth Barrett (Tom); step-brother, Bill Sobieski (Robyn); step-sister, Mary Catherine Crocker (Chris); brother in laws, Leslie Glauner (Maryann), and David Glauner; as well as nieces and nephews, Hank and Olivia Crocker, Kathleen Caldwell, Brian, wife Kayla, Eric, Jaye and Ellie Sobieski, Ryan (Rachel), Ressa and Brittany Glauner.
Michael is preceded in death by his stepson, Jeremy C Rotruck and his step-mom Margaret “Peggy” Sherlock.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, May 30, 2026 from 10-11:30am at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405. His memorial service will begin at 11:30am. Internment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia, PA.
