Michael W. Van Dorick

Michael W. Van Dorick, 82, of Warminster, PA passed away peacefully Wednesday, October 16, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Michael was born on June 17, 1942 in Philadelphia, PA to Genevieve (Olshefski) and Michael Van Dorick.

He was the beloved husband of Mary P. (nee Riva). Loving father of Denise Pritz (Bill), Bill VanDorick (Janna), Stefanie Coffey (Ed), father-in-law of Sandy VanDorick. Grandfather to Andrew (Molly), Marc (Maddie), Ryan VanDorick, Alex, Ann Marie, Jessica, Dan Pritz, Dahlia, Cole, Rebecca VanDorick, Erin, Eamon, Evelyn Coffey. Great grandfather to Mason, Finn, Hunter VanDorick.

Michael is also survived by sisters Jean Peterson, Nancy Simmons (Tim), Diane Tompkins (Jeff), sisters-in-law Joanne Furlong (Ed), Betty Kelble (Rich) and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his son Michael J. VanDorick and brother-in-law Raymond Peterson.

Michael grew up in South Philadelphia and moved to Jenkintown as a teenager and resided in Jenkintown for over 60 years. He was employed for many years as an electrician and then worked for the Federal Government inspecting fuels and chemicals until retirement. He was a Freemason, and guided the local DeMolay Chapter, and coached Jenkintown youth baseball.

Michael enjoyed spending time with his family fishing, playing games, telling jokes, traveling and keeping up with science and technology.

Relatives and friends are invited to St. Luke the Evangelist Church 2316 Fairhill Ave. Glenside, PA 19038 on Monday, October 21, 2024. Michael’s visitation will be from 10-10:50 AM with the funeral mass beginning at 11 AM.
