Michael J Weeks

Michael J. Weeks III, 82, of Eagleville passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Echo Lake in Malvern, PA. He is survived by his wife, Marie J. (nee McGarvey); 3 children, Michael J. IV, Jennifer Weeks (Karen Zajick) and Mark (Natasha); 2 grandchildren, Conor, and Gabrielle; sister, Carolann McFadden; 2 brothers, Thomas, and Dennis. He was born in Philadelphia on July 22, 1939, to the late Michael J. II and Mary Weeks. After graduating from Bishop Neumann High School in 1957, he served 6 years in the US Air Force Reserve. He had a long and successful career in the newspaper industry working for The Philadelphia Inquirer and retiring from The New York Times. Mike loved food, wine, and music. He was an original ‘foodie’ and loved to cook. He had a special love for Frank Sinatra and listened to Sid Mark’s Sounds of Sinatra every weekend. After retiring he cherished spending winters in Osprey, Florida. He was a conversationalist and would love to chat it up with friends and neighbors. His greatest joy was his family. He met his wife, Marie, at the Shamrock in Wildwood, NJ. They were married in June of 1968. They were blessed with three wonderful children and two precious grandchildren. They brought him so much joy and happiness. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Thursday, May 26, 2022, from 9:45 to 10:45 AM followed by a Funeral Mass 11 AM at Visitation BVM Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Eagleville, Pa 19403. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken. In Lieu of Flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
