Mildred J. (Jones) Grimes

Mildred J. (Jones) Grimes passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 4, 2012 at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA. She was 84. Mrs. Grimes was a resident of King of Prussia, PA, for the past 45 years. She worked in retail sales for the former John Wanamaker Department Store in King of Prussia, PA for 30 years. Mildred was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. She loved to read and spend time with her family.Born in North Arlington, NJ on October 22, 1927, she was a daughter of the late William and Estelle Jones. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 60 years, Joseph P. Grimes, Sr.; a son, Joseph P. Grimes and his wife, Karen of Villanova, PA; a daughter, Joanne T. Karkosak and her husband, Dave of Elverson, PA; a grandson, Sean Grimes; a sister, Audrey Brady of North Arlington, NJ; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a sister, Phillis Hawks. Mildred's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19405 on Friday, March 9, 2012 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday morning from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church.
