Morton R. French Iii

Morton R. French III, age 55 of Meadowbrook, PA lost his fight against depression on April 13, 2021. Mort was a loving, proud father to his four daughters, Sydney, Olivia, Simone, and Matilda. He was a faithful brother and son and a loyal friend. Mort was a chronically late (despite his crazy driving!) Grateful Dead enthusiast with a passion for grilling massive amounts of meat for very late night dinners. Mort danced bare foot at weddings, swam wherever he could, enjoyed trap shooting and golf and, for some unknown reason, was a Minnesota Vikings fan. Mort loved spending time with his daughters, no matter what they were doing. Mort loved deeply and fought hard. Mort is survived by his wife Nina (nee Franco), daughters Sydney, Olivia, Matilda, and Simone. Mort is also survived by his parents, Morton and Mary Alyce French, brothers, Charles and Michael and sister Tiffany as well as aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Mort was born in Wynnewood, PA on September 1, 1965 and attended Canterbury High School in Connecticut. He went to The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC before transferring to Boston University and graduating in 1988. He worked in the plastics industry for many years in his family business before striking out on his own with Centric Plastics. Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Sunday from 6-8 PM at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home 507 West Ave. Jenkintown, PA. Visitation will also be held Monday from 9:30 to 10:20 AM at Immaculate Conception Church 602 West Ave, Jenkintown followed by his funeral mass at 10:30 AM. The funeral mass will be live streamed.
