Nancy R. Faust

November 28, 1941 — March 23, 2025

Nancy Faust (née Rathbone), 83, passed away on March 23, 2025, in Easton, Pennsylvania.

Born on November 28, 1941, in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, Nancy grew up with a deep appreciation for art and creativity. She graduated from Conestoga High School in Berwyn, PA, before pursuing a degree in art education at Kutztown University. Her love for the arts led her to begin her career as an elementary art teacher in the Penn Manor School District. Later in life, she explored various professional ventures, including managing a Sherwin-Williams paint store and owning Wissler's Flowers.

Beyond her career, Nancy found joy in perennial gardening and watercolor painting, which, later in her life, became a daily activity. A devoted reader, she delighted in discovering new stories and ideas. Her affection for animals was well known—she was easily persuaded to adopt another pet and cherished the companionship they provided.

Above all else, Nancy was a devoted mother and grandmother who treasured time spent with her family. She shared an unbreakable bond with her daughters and granddaughters, offering them unwavering love and support throughout their lives. Her sharp wit and hilarious sense of humor brought laughter to those around her, even during difficult times. She faced life's challenges with resilience and optimism, always striving to find light in even the darkest moments.

Nancy was predeceased by her parents, Thelma Hargleroad Rathbone and Dallas Clark Rathbone, as well as her beloved daughter Heather Lynn Faust. She is survived by her daughter Jennifer Mullins; son-in-law Thomas Mullins; and granddaughters Sophie, Lila, and Aveline Mullins—all of Jenkintown, PA—as well as extended family in North Carolina.

She resided in Lancaster, PA for over 50 years, then later moved to Jenkintown to live with her daughter’s family before eventually transitioning to a nursing home. Though she endured many hardships throughout her life, she remained steadfast in her determination to persevere with grace and humor.

Nancy will be remembered for her boundless love for family, quick wit, and ability to find joy despite adversity. Her memory will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
