Nicholas A. Conti, Sr.

Nicholas A. Conti Sr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2011, surrounded by his loving family at his residence in W. Norriton, PA. He was 88. Mr. Conti was previously of Audubon, PA & King Manor, PA. He worked as a tile setter at the Roman Mosaic Tile Company and he also worked for the Stewart and Conti Development Company. He was a member of St. Teresa of Avila Church in Audubon, PA. Mr. Conti was a US Army veteran of WW II, serving as a corporal from 1942 to 1945, in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre of Operations. Born in Paoli, PA on September 14, 1922, he was a son of the late Pasquale and Mary (Mollica) Conti. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Mary T. (Martella) Conti, who died in 1965, and his second wife, Charlotte M. (Thorpe) Conti, who died in 2009. Surviving is his loving family including a son, Nicholas A. Conti, Jr. and his wife, Melissa of Boyertown, PA; two daughters, Debora Russo and her husband, Peter of Eagleville, PA and Sandra Leason and her husband, Mike of Phoenix, AZ; two step-sons, C. Edward Schmitt and his wife, Miriam of Oaks, PA and Charles L. Schmitt and his wife, Judith of Arizona; ten grandchildren: Michelle, Andrew, Brynn, Alison, Elaina, Samantha, Nicholas A. III, Joseph, Shannan and Nicole; 2 great-grandchildren, Tony and Danilynn; a brother, Michael Conti and his wife, Louise of Conshohocken, PA; two sisters, Jane Lewis of Norristown, PA and Dolly Camioni and her husband, Joseph of Conshohocken, PA; and many nephews and nieces. A special thanks to his caregivers, Marvalyn, Fatima, Lisa and Neve. He was preceded in death by four brothers: Angelo, Pete, Charles and Joseph Conti; and three sisters: Frances Conti, Catherine Petticone and Anna Marie Saldutti. Relatives & friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at St. Teresa of Avila Church, 1260 S. Trooper Rd., Audubon, PA 19403 on Saturday, August 6, 2011 at 10am. Officiating will be Msgr. Andrew J. Golias, Pastor. His viewings are Friday evening from 6 to 8pm, at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 and also Saturday morning from 9 to 9:50am, at the church.
