Nicholas A. Scintilla

Nicholas A. Scintilla passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 23, 2010, surrounded by his loving family at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 71. Mr. Scintilla worked as a sales person for Nardella Produce in Philadelphia, PA, until his retirement in 2009. He was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. Born in Lattimer Mines, PA on November 22, 1939, he was a son of Salvatore Scintilla of Hazelton, PA and the late Mildred (Catrone) Scintilla. Surviving is his loving family including his father; his wife of 51 years, Jean (Shemo) Scintilla; two sons, Nick A. Scintilla of King of Prussia, PA and Rob Scintilla and his wife, Stephanie of Earlville, PA; a daughter, Lori A. Stueben and her husband, Scott of Audubon, PA; three grandchildren: Leah, Renee and Scott, Jr.; two brothers, Anthony Scintilla of Port Orange, FL and John Scintilla and his wife, Helen of Truckersville, PA; two sisters, Betty Shane and her husband, Tom of Lattimer Mines, PA and Rose Esposito and her husband, Joe of Daytona Beach, FL; and many nephews and nieces. Relatives & friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Wednesday, December 29, 2010 at 10:00am. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor. Nick's viewings will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 8pm, and Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 9:20am, both at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, Pa 19405. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Nick's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19103.
