Nicholas Joseph Stanish, Jr.

Nicholas J. Stanish, Jr., 79, of Philadelphia, PA passed away Saturday, August 19th, 2017 peacefully. Nicholas was born in Philadelphia, PA on April 16, 1938, the son of the late Rose ‘DiDonato’ and Nicholas J. Stanish, Sr. and he was the Brother of the late Joseph Stanish. He was the beloved husband of Florence (Andreoli) Stanish. Nick loved to work more than anything. He devoted most of his work life working as a Maintenance Mechanic at Mount Nazareth. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Nick also truly loved the world of Disney and what it represented. Besides his beloved wife of 62 years, Florence, he is also survived by his loving children Deborah and Michael (wife Regina), he is the Special Pop-a-roo of Gina Marie and Michael, Brother of Adorina Vernot and Alexander Stanish, and he is also survived by numerous loving nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 AM and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM both on Friday, August 25th, 2017 at Our Lady of Calvary Church 11024 Knights Road in Philadelphia, PA 19154.
