Nicola 'Nick' Giangiacomo

Nicola “Nick” Giangiacomo passed away peacefully on Monday, April 4, 2016 at Arden Courts Memory Care in King of Prussia, PA. He was 86. Mr. Giangiacomo was a resident of Plymouth Meeting, PA. He was the owner/operator of the Nick the Tailor Shop on Markley St. in Norristown, PA, for 40 years. Nick was a member of Holy Saviour Church in Norristown, PA. He enjoyed gardening, and making wine and sausage. Nick served as a Corporal in the Italian Army. Born in Fresagrandinaria, Italy on September 28, 1929, he was a son of the late Vincenzo and Marietta (DeLellis) Giangiacomo. Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Irma "Maria" (Ottaviano) Giangiacomo; a son, Vincent R. Giangiacomo and his wife, Suzann, of E. Norriton, PA; a daughter, Maria Gilda Giangiacomo-Brown and her husband, Larry, of New Providence, PA; four grandchildren: Eric & Alison Group and Nicola and Rita Giangiacomo; a brother, Mario Giangiacomo and his wife, Teresa, of W. Norriton, PA; a niece, Rose Siegel and her husband, Gary; and a grand-nephew, Joshua. Relatives & friends are invited to Nick’s Funeral Mass at Holy Saviour Church, 407 E. Main St., Norristown, PA on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:00 am. Officiating will be Msgr. Charles L. Sangermano. His viewing will be Friday from 9 to 9:45 am, at the church. Entombment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery Mausoleum, E. Norriton, PA.
