Olga S. (Sowirka) Hustak passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. She was 93. Mrs. Hustak was a resident of E. Norriton, PA and was formerly of Bridgeport, PA. She was a graduate of Simon Gratz High School in Philadelphia, PA. She worked as a Group Service Representative for Independence Blue Cross in Philadelphia, PA. Olga was an active member of SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Bridgeport and a member of their Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid bingo player and enjoyed puzzles and reading. Born in Philadelphia, PA on January 26, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Peter and Catherine (Hanczyk) Sowirka. She was the wife of the late Andrew S. Hustak, who died in 1997. Surviving is her loving family including a daughter, Kathryn M. & Stephen Sherman of Pine Hill, NJ; a son-in-law, Robert Reber of Matthews, NC; two grandchildren, Brian Sherman and Catherine Reber; a great-granddaughter, Elizabeth Sherman; a brother, Taras & Dora Sowirka of Meadowbrook, PA; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Andrea E. Reber; a brother, Miron Sowirka; and a sister, Mary Hryshchyshyn. Relatives & friends are invited to Olga's Divine Liturgy at SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 519 Union Ave., Bridgeport, PA on Monday, June 1, 2015 at 10:00 am. Her viewing is Monday from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Cemetery, King of Prussia.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Olga's memory to SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 519 Union Ave., Bridgeport, PA 19405.
