O. William Alberti, age 90, passed away on June 19, 2020 at Ann’s Choice in Warminster, PA. He was born in 1929 in Boston, MA to the late Oscar and Emily Alberti. “Bill” was the loving husband of the late Helen for 61 years. He is survived by his son William Alberti, daughter-in-law, Patricia Alberti of Jenkintown, daughter Susan Rodriguez, son-in-law Joseph Rodriguez of Bellevue, WA, and grandchildren Kelly, Catherine, Andrew, Thomas, and great granddaughter Layla Rose. Bill grew up in Jamaica Plain, MA where he was very close with his older sister Muriel and older brother Paul until Paul’s untimely death. Bill attended Boston Latin School and graduated from Boston University. He worked at Harry’s Hardware store while attending University. Upon graduation from BU, he served just under two years in the US Air Force as a 1st Lieutenant, including one year in Korea during the Korean War. During high school and college summers, Bill spent time in Brewster, MA working at a gas station and helping his sister and brother-in-law build cottages in Chatham, MA. Bill met his wife Helen through friends. They married and moved briefly to Connecticut where he worked for an ink company and Tuttle & Bailey, before settling in Montgomery County, PA. Bill co-founded the Alberti-Faller Co. in Jenkintown, PA and was proud to serve his customers for 28 years. Bill had many interests including playing bridge, excelling and competing in tennis for over 50 years, and enjoyed his life-long interest in cars, spending time visiting car dealerships and reading car magazines. He coached his young son in little league baseball and served on the board of directors of HVAA (Huntingdon Valley Athletic Association). Upon retiring from Alberti-Faller, Bill and Helen moved to Hilton Head, SC where they enjoyed golf, tennis, family, friends and warm weather. Bill & Helen retuned to Pennsylvania in 2008 to be near family. A memorial service that will also be live streamed on our website will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery July 10, 2020 at 10:30 am.
