Patrice Trauffer Patrice Trauffer, 59, of Rydal, PA passed away Wednesday, September 25th, 2019 at Fox Chase Cancer Center. Patrice was born in Philadelphia, PA on September 23, 1960, the youngest daughter of Madeleine (Lynch) and the late John Lamb. She was the beloved wife of Ed Trauffer. She is survived by her loving husband Ed, daughter Nicole (Shaun) and son Ian. Patrice is also survived by her siblings Michelle (Craig), Denise, Chris (Karyn), David, and Marc (Dianne). She was preceded in death by her sisters Celeste (Michael), Jeannine, and Bonnie. Patrice is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews. She was a member of Immaculate Conception BVM Church in Jenkintown, PA, where she was a lector and a volunteer in several parish activities, including serving as a member of the parish council. Patrice received her undergraduate degree in chemistry from LaSalle College, where she and Ed met. She received her M.D. degree at Thomas Jefferson University. Patrice completed fellowships in Obstetrics and High-Risk Obstetrics at Thomas Jefferson University, as well as in Genetics at the University of Pennsylvania. Patrice was a dedicated physician specializing in high risk obstetrics and genetics in several hospitals in the Philadelphia and Trenton areas. She went above and beyond for her patients and prided herself in providing quality and diligent care. Patrice was an avid animal lover and found immense enjoyment in her interactions with animals, whether at home with her loving dogs or through her volunteer work with the Penn Vet Working Dog Center. Her life was filled with family time, unforgettable vacations, big parties, scuba diving, boardgames, horseback riding, and other outdoor adventures. Patrice was a devoted mother who supported and loved her children fiercely. She is remembered for her gracious hosting, quick wit, commitment to her work, deep faith, and love for her family and friends. Public Visitation will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Friday, October 4th at Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home 507 West Ave. in Jenkintown, PA. A second Visitation will be held from 9:30 to 10:50 AM on Saturday, October 5th at Immaculate Conception BVM Church 602 West Ave. in Jenkintown, PA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 AM on Saturday, October 5th at Immaculate Conception BVM Church in Jenkintown, PA with Msgr. David Diamond officiating. In lieu of flowers, Patrice requested that donations be made in her memory to the Penn Vet Working Dog Center.
