Patricia Josephine Connolly

Patricia Josephine Connolly, 78, of Warminster, PA, formerly of Jenkintown passed away Monday, July 15, 2019, at her residence with loving family by her side. Patricia was born in Andersonstown, Belfast, Northern Ireland on April 18, 1941, daughter of the late John and Frances (McKendry) Connolly. She will be sadly missed by her loving children: Angela Funk (David), Richard Gerstemeier (Debra), John Gerstemeier, and Joanne Burmester (James); her cherished grandchildren: David (Christine), Jennifer, Samantha, and Kelsey Funk, Max, Eddie, and Ava Gerstemeier, Jake Gerstemeier, and Caitlin and Rachel Burmester; her sweet great-grandchild, Sophia; her beloved siblings: Gerry Connolly (Patricia-d), John Connolly (Bridie), Peter Connolly (Elizabeth), and Frank Connolly (Mary); her adored sister-in-law, Rebekah Gerstemeier; and many nieces and nephews. She is now reunited with her cherished siblings: Bernadette Robinson (William), Kathleen McGuigan (Daniel), Mary Wall (Eric), and Patrick Connolly. Patricia came to the United States in 1963, worked as a residential housekeeper for many years and later as a nurse’s aide at Summersgate Assisted Living Home. Patricia was a devoted mother and grandmother. Spending time with family and friends was her greatest joy. Some of her favorite hobbies were crocheting and shopping. Patricia was a former member of the Timoney Irish Dancers and spent many evenings dancing at the MacSwiney Club in Jenkintown. She was also an avid Flyers hockey fan. She often traveled home to Ireland to visit her dear family and friends. She was also a former member of Immaculate Conception BVM Church in Jenkintown, PA 19046. A public visitation will be held from 9 AM to 10:30 AM on Monday, July 22nd at the Joseph J. McGoldrick Funeral Home, 507 West Ave. in Jenkintown, PA. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Monday, July 22nd at Immaculate Conception BVM Church in Jenkintown.
