Patricia 'Pat' (Bernhardt) Frye

Patricia "Pat" (Bernhardt) Frye passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 1, 2010, surrounded by her loving family at Phoenixville Hospital in Phoenixville, PA. She was 84 years old and a long-time resident of Audubon, PA. She retired as a clerk for the Montgomery Bar Association. She graduated from the former Bridgeport High School, Class of 1943, where she was a member of the Junior and Senior Honor Society. She was a member of the Audubon-Oaks Lioness Club and a social member of the Friendship Fire Co. #2. "Mom" had 3 loves in her life: Bingo, The Phillies, and first and foremost her family. She always did for others first. Born in Easton, PA on July 14, 1925, she was a daughter of the late John T. and Louise P. (Prentis) Bernhardt. Surviving are her loving family including her husband of 51 years, Joseph G. Frye, Sr.; her children: James P. "Bink" Brown and his wife, Sue of Jamison, PA, Artie Brown and his wife, Lori of Duluth, GA, Pattie Walker and her husband, Fred of E. Norriton PA, Mary Lou Hines of Norristown, PA, Joseph G. Frye, Jr. of Royersford, PA and Robert W. Frye and his wife, Bernadette of Limerick, PA; 9 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her first husband, James Ernest Brown, who died in 1956, a brother, Prentis Bernhardt, and 2 sisters, Peggy Shaffer and Connie Daloisio. Relatives and friends are invited to a special celebration of Pat's life at the Chateau Granieri, 2522 W. Main St., Jeffersonville, PA 19403 on Saturday, June 5, 2010 from 12 to 4pm. This celebration will have a Phillies Theme and everyone is asked to wear Phillies casual attire. Interment will be private at the request of the family.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Friendship Fire Co. #2 Building Fund, 423 W. High St., Phoenixville, PA 19460.
