Patricia O. Morro

Patricia O. (O'Brien) Morro passed away peacefully on Monday, October 18, 2021, at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA. She was 89. Mrs. Morro was a former resident of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as a reading teacher for Mother of Divine Providence Grade School for many years. Patricia was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. In addition to teaching reading, Pat loved to read herself. Her bookshelves were overflowing with books of all types, from the classics, to poetry, to biographies, to contemporary fiction. She also had a deep interest in and love of the arts, especially theater and dance. After retiring from teaching, she covered the Philadelphia arts scene for two suburban magazines in the 1990’s, interviewing and profiling many local writers and performers. Born in Mahanoy City, PA on July 13, 1932, she was a daughter of the late John and Margaret (Meehan) O’Brien; and the wife of the late Ferdinand P. Morro, who died in 2015. Surviving is her loving family including a daughter, Jane Mullany and her husband, Hank; a son, Paul Morro and his wife, Rengin; three grandchildren: John Mullany, Mark Mullany (Nicole) and Juliet Morro; and her brother, Craig “Ace” O’Brien. The family will receive relatives & friends at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, PA on Friday, October 22, 2021 from 9:30 to 10:30 am; with her Funeral Mass starting at 10:30 am. Please wear a mask in church if attending. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pat’s memory to the Shrine of St. Joseph, 1050 Long Hill Rd., Stirling, NJ 07980; or Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
