Patricia Ann Stadnik, of Audubon PA, was born August 21, 1958 to John and Marion (Englehart) Romanic in Hazelton, PA. She died November 14, 2021 of ovarian cancer. She is survived by: her husband of forty-one years, Roger; her children, Crystal and Leo; her grandson, Anson; her brother, Bruce; her kitty cats, Clemmie and Bessie; and her children’s nemesis, the famous singer, Michael McDonald. She brought patience and expertise to forty plus years as a lab tech, retiring in 2020. She was an important part of her Micro Family and will be missed. In remembering her, the spaces we find Mom are all around us. We visit Patty when reliving the many experiences, both sought and unexpected, of our travels. She always searched for enriching adventures and allowed us all to experience the surprise of both joy and sorrow. Sometimes, she is in the deep connections we make with others, trying to understand them while accepting that we will never be fully understood. Mom will always have a seat in the kitchen when we have a family meal or talk about things greater than us. She fills the liminal spaces in her absence; whispering at the edge of the woods as the deer peek out at silflay. Mom will always be walking down the Perkiomen Trail, watching birds and dodging goose poop. Growing and expanding to fill the gaps between, her communion with nature is complete. To honor her, a memorial bench will be placed on the Perkiomen Trail. In lieu of a memorial service, a dedication celebration will be held after installation. Patty’s pursuit of knowledge will live on in her family and in this spirit, donations can be given in her name to the Royersford Free Public Library.
