Patsy "Pat" Zollo Jr.

OBITUARY Patsy (Pat) Zollo, Jr. Patsy (Pat) Zollo, Jr., a life-long resident of Montgomery County, died at the age of 90 on Sunday July 23, 2017 at his home in West Norriton, PA. He was attended by his loving wife and surrounded by a host of family and friends. Pat (affectionally called “Pop” by his family) was born on October 19, 1926 in Glenside, PA, the son of Pasquale Zollo, Sr. and Angelina (Caputo) Zollo, and was the last surviving child of nine. He attended Cheltenham High School until he was drafted into the Army where he dutifully served his country in World War II. Pat worked as a Produce Manager at the Acme until his retirement in 1988. Pat was a devoted husband, loving father and the patriarch of a large and adoring family. Pop, the consummate Philadelphia sports fan, rarely missed watching a Phillies or Eagles game and could frequently be found sitting around the television on summer nights with his wife and family watching a baseball game. While he savored each win, he also seemed to enjoy yelling at the TV when they botched a play just as much. Pop always enjoyed watching old movies on TCM, but you could always get him enthused about playing the slot machines at any available Casino. His greatest pleasure, however, was being with his family, enjoying Sunday dinners at the house and watching his grandchildren and great grandchildren play. He would quietly sit in the corner and smile as his family talked away the hours after filling up on meatballs or tomato pie. Pat is survived by his wife, Mary Rose (Graffeo) Zollo, of over sixty-five years; his four loving children: Marie Zollo, Linda (Gary) Howard, Philip (Lisa) Zollo, and Madeline (Michael) Logan; three grandchildren: Michael Howard, Jeffrey (Megan) Howard and Gary (Krista) Howard, Jr.; Seven great grandchildren: Michael, Jr., James, Lillian, Mathew, Leah, Emily and Andrew; and four step grandchildren: Lyndsay, Robert, Apryl and Kelcy. A memorial service for family and friends will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2017 at Presidential Caterers, 2910 DeKalb Pike, Norristown, PA 19401 (at the corner of Rt. 202 and DeKalb Pike), 610-275-7300. The family will begin receiving visitors at 11:00 a.m. with a brief service and luncheon to follow.
