Paul A. Hagerty

HAGERTY Paul A. Hagerty, 87, formerly of Wyncote, PA. went home to the Lord on Saturday, March 18, 2017. Loving husband of the late Margaret T. Survived by his children: Matthew C. (Teresa), Anne M. Lewis (Chuck), Beth E. Antoni (Rock), John L. (Becca) and Philip D. Brother of Eugene P. (Josephine) and the late Leonie Bell (Lou) and Charles (Therese). He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, one great- granddaughter, and many nieces and nephews. Born (1929) and raised in Germantown, PA. After serving in the Navy during the Korean War he attended Drexel University graduating in 1957 with a degree in Investment Banking, where he also served as a teacher in the graduate program for 20 years. He worked in the field of Finance (1957-2007) and served as an officer, director and president of Philadelphia Securities Association, Financial Analysts of Philadelphia, and The Bond Club of Philadelphia. In following with his love of service he was ordained a deacon in the Roman Catholic Church in 1997. He served at Immaculate Conception BVM, Jenkintown until March of 2015. An avid golfer, he was a longtime member of North Hills Country Club and played in nearly every golf club in the Philadelphia area with a single digit handicap for 15 years. Relatives and friends are invited to his Viewing Thursday March 23, 2017 from 6-9 PM; and Friday the 24th from 9-10:45 AM, both at Immaculate Conception BVM Church 602 West Avenue, Jenkintown, PA. His Funeral Mass will follow on Friday at 11 AM at Immaculate Conception BVM. His interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Our Lady’s House, P.O.
