Paul A. Holtan

Paul Alfred Holtan, 77, of Exton, PA, made his final journey on Monday, May 18, 2009. He passed away in his home, surrounded by his loving family. Paul was born in St. Paul, Minnesota to Alfred and Hazel (Nelson) Holtan on March 27, 1932. Survived by his wife, Winifred (Forsythe) Holtan; children, Karin Cordero and her husband Mauricio, of Danville, CA, Paula Norman of Los Gatos, CA, Gwendolyn Holtan of Chicago, IL, Eric Holtan and his wife Mary, of Thorndale, PA; grandchildren Sarah Ruth Norman of Los Gatos, CA and Evan Holtan of Thorndale, PA. He is also survived by his sister Eva Partridge of Cedarburg, WI. Paul was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Dorothy Ann Fredricksen of Kentfield, CA. After being honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy in 1954, he met his future bride, Winnie. They were married on October 10, 1959. He started his family in Minnesota and they later moved to Ohio and California. The family finally settled in Pennsylvania in 1978. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, uncle and friend to many. Paul was employed as a Regional Sales Manager at Lee Wayne Corporation for many years, and most recently, as an Account Executive. Through the years he served as a mentor to many colleagues which he considered one of his greatest accomplishments.Paul was a member of Central Presbyterian Church, where he served as an Usher Captain and an elder. He was a charter member of The Rotary Club of Central Chester County-Lionville and a member of The Uwchlan Township Zoning Hearing Board.
