Paul E. Tartar age 91 of Audubon, Pa, passed away on Thursday, December 29, 2022 at The Meadows at Shannondell. Paul was born in Hazleton, PA on September 25, 1931, to the late Angelo and Jennie Tartar. His sister, Anna May Rakow, also preceded him in death. Paul worked for over 37 years at Unisys in their Information Technology and Services division. He was involved in the development of several U.S. patents including an Optical Reader Kit for Letter Sorting Machines and Recognition Logic Circuit for Bar Code Reader Systems. During his retirement, Paul devoted time to the Model Railroad Club at Shannondell, and loved watching the Philadelphia Eagles and spending time with family and friends.

He is survived by 3 nieces, Kim McChesney (Brian), Dianne Ellison (Tom) and Beth Brennan (Dan) and several great nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 10 to 11 am at Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, 101 N. Park Ave., (Rt. 363) Trooper, Pa 19403. Private interment will follow at SS Peter and Paul Cemetery, Springfield, Pa.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Paul’s name may be made to K9s for Warriors.
