Paul G. Venezia

Paul G. Venezia passed away peacefully on Friday, July 22, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He was 64. Mr. Venezia was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He grew up in Midland Park, NJ and Watertown, NY, where he attended Immaculate Heart Central. Paul graduated from Villanova University in 1973 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting & Finance. He spent his entire working career with the railroad, Penn Central, Conrail, CSX, and Amtrak, in various management positions, retiring in 2014. Paul was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. He enjoyed golf and was a big Villanova fan. Paul was an avid sports fan of any sport with a ball or a puck. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Born in Minneapolis, Minn on October 3, 1951, he was a son of the late Joseph P. Venezia, Ret. Lt. Col. and Mary K. (Bortree) Venezia. Surviving is his loving family including his devoted wife of 34 years, Nina M. (Macaluso) Venezia; a son, Joseph C. Venezia of King of Prussia, PA; a brother, John Venezia of Southbridge, MA; two sisters, Katherine Yankee and her husband, Ronald, of Hopkinton, MA and JoAnne Venezia of Cape Coral, FL; a nephew and a niece; and many cousins and friends. Relatives & friends are invited to Paul’s Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at 10:30 am. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin T. Cioppi, Pastor. His viewing is Wednesday from 9 to 10:20 am, at the church. Interment will be private in Calvary Cemetery, at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Paul’s memory to the Norristown Salvation Army Food Pantry, 533 Swede Street, Norristown, Pennsylvania, 19401 and/or Catholic Social Services Food Pantry, 353 East Johnson Highway, Norristown, Pennsylvania, 19401.
