Pedro Benitez

Pedro Benitez passed away peacefully on Monday, January 22, 2018, at Bryn Mawr Hospital in Bryn Mawr, PA. He was 73. Mr. Benitez was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He worked as a shoemaker for many years. Pedro was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. He was a wonderful father and husband who was a strong pillar of his family. Pedro was a tough, hardworking man who was always smiling. Born in Asuncion, Paraguay on June 29, 1944, he was a son of the late Maximo and Dionisia (Alcaraz) Benitez. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 47 years, Estela Benitez; two sons, Augusto Javier Benitez of Bridgeport and Emerson Peter Benitez and his wife, Lauren, of Newtown, PA; two grandsons, Nicholas and Ryker Benitez; and a sister, Inocencia Benitez of Asuncion, Paraguay. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Nestor and Crispin; and a sister, Maria Julia Benitez. Relatives & friends are invited to Pedro’s Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 10:00 am, with his viewing from 9 to 9:45 am. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Pedro’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 480 Norristown Rd., Suite 150, Blue Bell, PA 19422 and/or the American Heart Association, 5455 N.
