Peggy Ann Adams, 86, of Philadelphia, PA, formerly of 6657 Edmund St. Philadelphia, passed away on Thursday, April 22nd, 2021 peacefully, at Jefferson Health Hospice at Warminster, PA Bucks County. Peggy Ann was born in Phila, PA on June 16, 1934, a daughter of the late Evelyn (Thomas) and John Wagner. She was the widow of Thomas J. Adams and the Mother of the late Thomas and sister of the late John Wagner Jr. Peggy Ann worked as a Bartender at Currans Bar in Tacony. Peggy Ann was the original bartender at Magee Bar at Magee & Tulip & then went to Currans at Magee & Vandike Streets and worked for Charles and Tom and then continued to work with the new owners when it became Irish Eddies. Prior to bartending she had worked as a sorter with Swift Mailers. Her Grandchildren lovingly called her Gamblin Granny. She would have a safe at Caesars and Bally’s Casinos in Atlantic City, but explained she only had them to keep her packs of cigarettes close to her. Peggy Ann is survived by her loving daughter Evelyn and her husband Rocco Nicoletti; her devoted Grandchildren Angela Keenan (Steve), Cynthia Brickley (Lucas), Christina and Gina and Great Grandchildren Jack and Lottie. Public Viewing will be held 9 AM to 10:30 AM on Monday, May 3rd, 2021 at Jason Lloyd Funeral Home 6645 Torresdale Ave. in Philadelphia, PA In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer’s Association, Delaware Valley Chapter. https://www.alz.org/delval/donate Interment will be private at the convenience of the Family.
