Peter Angelo Disanto, Jr.

Peter Angelo DiSanto, Jr. passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 3, 2024 at the Rehab at Shannondell in Audubon, PA at the age of 84. Born on November 22, 1939 on a farm in Malvern, PA, to Italian Immigrant parents, he was the son of the late Consolina (DeCamillo) and Pietro Angelo DiSanto, Sr.

Peter was in the 1st class to graduate from Our Lady of Mount Carmel Elementary School and graduated from Bishop Kenrick High School, Class of 1958. He was a lifelong resident of Bridgeport, PA, where he received the lifetime Achievement Award for over 50 years of service to his community. Serving in the 70’s and 80’s as councilman for over two decades and the Bridgeport Civil Service, resigning his commission in 2023 after 50 years of dedication. Peter was a member of the Chapel of Four Chaplains and the Lions Club, serving as past President.

Peter served in the Army National Guard from 1957 to 1965. He owned Northeast Service Center in Norristown from 1968 to 1984 and Madeline Rose Rings-n-Things, where he retired in June 2023.

Peter enjoyed spending time with his family, traveling to the shore, playing bocce, and was always the life of the party. He could be found playing accordion, singing along, or playing practical jokes with his group of friends and family. He was known as a good friend to many, but a better person.

He was the husband of the late Madeline Judith (Marcus) DiSanto who died in October, 2023 and brother of the late Pierina Marie Albanese. He is survived by 2 children, Vincent DiSanto, and his wife Sherry, and Marissa DiSanto; 2 grandchildren, Isabella Louise and Max Atlee; and many other loving family members and friends.

Peter’s family will receive relatives and friends at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA on Friday, April 12, 2024 from 10am to 12noon, and again from 6 to 8pm.

In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Peter’s memory to Sons and Sisters of Bridgeport at 144 E Dekalb Pike, King of Prussia, PA 19406.
