Peter John Lofgren, lovingly known as Bart — beloved Dad, Pops, Brother, and Friend — passed away peacefully on May 16, 2025, in Florida, surrounded by his family.

An accomplished businessman and lifelong sports enthusiast, Peter had a deep love for the outdoors, especially long walks through Valley Green and the Wissahickon. He was never tired of reminiscing about “the old neighborhood,” was a legendary storyteller, and always up for a good road trip and adventure.

He was a devoted father to three sons — Peter, Brian, and Brett — and took great pride in teaching them to play and sharing his love of sports during their younger years. Proud grandfather to Hunter, Ryan, Hannah, Charlotte, Beatrice, and Evangeline. Dear brother of Thomas and Nancy, and the late Albert.

Peter was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 45 years, Cynthia Ann. Their bond was deep, and we take comfort in knowing they are reunited now in eternal peace.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Peter’s life on Friday, June 6th. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 10:45 A.M. at Holy Cross Church, 140 E. Mount Airy Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19119, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11 A.M. Interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
