Philip Charles Ciaverelli, 79, of Philadelphia, PA passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022, after a battle with vascular dementia. He spent the past year living in Denver, Colorado with his wife and daughters’ family which allowed him to get focused care. During his fight he showed his courage in facing life’s challenges with a smile every day. Philip was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 4, 1942, a son of the late Doris R. (Welte) and Philip C. Ciaverelli. Philip completed his Bachelor’s degree at LaSalle University and worked his entire career in the banking industry. He spent many years commuting daily from Philadelphia to New York which enabled him to consume numerous books. Phil was passionate about reading, golf, good food, the Eagles, and his family; most importantly he never saw a doughnut he didn’t like. Throughout his life he was involved with various activities including coaching and refereeing football; he also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserves. In retirement he could be found at the golf course and during tax season behind a desk helping others with their taxes. Phil had an incredible curiosity for life and an uncanny ability to find joy in the everyday. His pleasant personality was contagious and he was able to talk with anyone with ease. Phil is survived by his wife of 58 years, Kathleen M. (nee O'Neill). Loving father of Christine M. Raponi (Jeff), Philip J., and Gregory W. (Jeanne). Philip is survived by 5 grandchildren: Matt, Tierney, and Margaux Ciaverelli, Philip Ciaverelli, and Brady Raponi. Brothers; Robert (Delores), Jack (the late Carol), and Alan (Laura) and sister Doris Ann Craig (John). Relatives and friends are invited to his visitation Saturday, February 12th from 9:30-11:20 AM and funeral mass at 11:30 AM both at Mary, Mother of The Redeemer Church 1325 Upper State Rd. North Wales, PA. His interment will be held at St. John Neumann Cemetery.
