Philomena C. (DeStefano) Picard passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2013 at Regina Nursing Center in Norristown, PA. She was 92. Mrs. Picard was a resident of Norristown, PA. She worked for the B.F. Goodrich Tire Co. in Oaks, PA, the Upper Merion Area School District in the food services department and she was also an Upper Merion School Crossing Guard. Philomena was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA, where she was an annual feast worker and a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality. She loved to travel, play cards and was an avid fan of all Philadelphia Sports and Penn State. Born in Nagny, PA on April 2, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Dominick and Fabiano (Del Fiaco) DeStefano. She was the wife of the late Anthony P. Picard, Sr., who died in 2012. Surviving is her loving family including two sons, Anthony P. Picard, Jr. and his wife, Elaine, of Conshohocken, PA and Gregory S. Picard and his wife, Marie, of Eagleville, PA; three grandchildren: Denise, Michael and Michelle; a step-grandson, Bryan; seven great-grandchildren: Giana, Gina, Angela, Anthony, Brandon, Ryan and Tyler; three step-great- grandchildren: Madison, Austin and Carson; a sister, Florence Picard of E. Norriton, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by a brother, John DeStefano. Relatives & friends are invited to Philomena's Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 10:30 am. Her viewing will be Wednesday morning from 8:30 to 10:20 am, at the church.
