Philomena (Testa) Tancredi passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 3, 2011, at Montgomery Hospital in Norristown, PA. She was 96. Mrs. Tancredi was a resident of Bridgeport PA for over 60 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA, where she was an annual feast worker. Philomena was a retired production worker for the former Freeman & Sons in Norristown, PA and the former Bridgeport Paints Factory in Bridgeport, PA. Born in Philadelphia, PA on April 7, 1914, she was a daughter of the late Leonard and Carmela (Rauso) Testa. Philomena was the wife of the late Salvatore Tancredi, who died in 1993. Surviving is her loving family including 2 daughters, Rosemarie Kearns of King of Prussia, PA and Priscilla Romano and her husband, Anthony of Royersford, PA; 3 grandchildren: Christopher, Josh, and Tara; 2 great-grandchildren, Aaron and Nathan; a sister, Nanette Lerro of Dover, DE; and many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by 3 sisters: Mary Pinto, Helen Bisazza, and Louise Giordano and 5 brothers: Nunzio, Joseph, Michael, Carmen and Dennis Testa.Relatives & Friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Tuesday, February 8, 2011 at 10:00AM. Interment in St. Patrick's Cemetery, East Norriton, PA. Her viewing will be Tuesday morning from 9 to 9:50am, at the church.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Philomena's memory to Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, at the above address.Arrangements are by The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., Bridgeport, PA.
