Phyllis Ann Asson

Phyllis Ann Asson, 88, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Friday, July 10th, 2020 peacefully, at the Philadelphia Protestant Home. Phyllis was born in Hazleton, PA on May 8, 1932, a daughter of the late Agnes (Breslin) Asson and Joseph McGeady. She was the wife of Thomas H. Asson for 63 years. She was a member of St. Hilary of Poiters Church in Rydal, PA and was a devout Catholic and attended Mass Daily. Phyllis was one of the founding directors of Birth Right and many years ago she was a teacher of High School students in Paulsboro, NJ. Phyllis loved traveling to places like Austria, Italy and Arizona, she love dining out and helping people especially at Birthright. She loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her Grandson Benjamin. She was a beautiful person inside and out with a heart of Gold and a wicked sense of humor. Phyllis is survived by her beloved husband Thomas H. She is also survived by her two sons and daughters in law; T. Sean Asson (Elaine) and Drew J. Asson (Diane) and her dear Grandson Benjamin. Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass on Wednesday July 15, 2020 at 10 AM at St. Hilary of Poitiers Church 820 Susquehanna Rd. Rydal, PA 19046. Her Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Birthright 7986 Oxford Ave. Philadelphia, PA 19111 Her Funeral Mass will be streamed live at 10 AM.
