Phyllis Gay Sameloff

Phyllis G Sameloff (nee Cohen) died 07/29/2021 in Bucks County, PA. She was a Loving Daughter, Sister, Wife, Mother, Cousin, and a friend to all that met her. She was born in Bridgeport, CT on 05/24/1942 and lived most of her life in CT and PA. Phyllis was married to her loving husband Larry M. Sameloff (dec’d 08/27/18) since 10/15/1961, and together they embraced life to the fullest, they have 2 children: Dina and her husband Eli Shaaltiel and a son David J. Sameloff and his wife Angela Marie Sameloff and 2 grandsons Tom B. Shaaltiel and Daniel L. Shaaltiel. Phyllis is also survived by her Sister Helaine Alpert (Harvey dec’d 2004), Stan Ehrich and nephew Haylin Alpert and his wife Joanna and their children Hudson and Beau and countless cousins nieces, and friends. Phyllis was an extremely talented woman who embraced life, fashion, knitting, and charitable service. She had an esteemed career in the medical field working at several major hospital in CT and PA. When asked about her career several years back, she reflected on a study in the early 70’s when she worked at Yale on a study to understand the impact of aspartame had on children and their development. When Phyllis wasn’t shopping, she could be found knitting, yard sailing or reading. Phyllis and Larry had an amazing life together, raising a family, traveling and starting their evening dinner with a Dubonnet Cocktail followed by a bottle of wine. The family is receiving guests on August 14, 2021 at 1:00 PM at the home of Dina Shaaltiel (52 Jasons Way Richboro PA 18954) for a celebration of Phyllis’s life and family.
