Rachael Fitzgerald McBride of Morrisville, Pennsylvania, took flight in the evening of November 6, 2023. She was 26 years old.
Rachael entered the world on February 20, 1997, in a taxi over the Pelham Parkway in the Bronx, New York. Growing up, Rachael was a quick study — an early and avid reader, an inspired artist, and a talented cellist. Rachael's analytic mind and logical prowess found belonging in her interest in business.
She graduated from Drexel University in 2020 with a triple major in Business Analytics, Economics, and Finance. She went on to work for Bloomberg Inc., where she excelled as a Financial Analyst and Researcher. She loved her work and her colleagues.
It was at Drexel University that Rachael developed a precious group of lifelong friends and found her life partner, Jordan. Rachael and Jordan wed in May 2023 at the Morris Arboretum in a ceremony that showcased one of her greatest accomplishments — the curation of people who loved her completely.
Rachael was an avid traveler and an adventurous spirit. From Arizona to the Azores, she enjoyed any opportunity to spread her wings, discover new wonders, and sample local cuisine with her Jordan at her side. A fervent lover of cats, Rachael could easily attract any "meow meow" with her gentle aura and a careful caress.
Rachael expressed her love by showing up for the people she cared about, going above and beyond to celebrate birthdays, exam defenses, marathons, and all major and minor life events in between. Rachael is a treasured daughter, beloved sister, adored auntie, trusted amiga, and cherished wife. Rachael is survived by her mother, Fedraida; her husband, Jordan; her older sisters, Wynne, Chelsea, Natalie, and Katherine; brother, William; and nephews, Noah and River. She was preceded in death by her aunt, Jennifer Collins, and by her feline niece, Elektra.
She passed at home — from complications of cancer — with her husband, sisters, and mother at her side. In lieu of flowers, Rachael requested that you share stories and memories of your shared time with her.
Her close friends and family appreciate your condolences and respectfully request privacy at this time. A private celebration of life will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023. For messages or inquiries contact: RachaelMcMemories@gmail.com
