Raimundo Garcia

Raimundo García passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 9, 2023 at his home in W. Norriton, PA surrounded by his family. He was 88. Raimundo was a member of St. Patrick Church in Norristown, PA. He came to America from his native Cuba with his wife and daughter in 1970, settling in Norristown and working at Stroehmann Bakeries for many years. He was a passionate parishioner and leader at St. Patrick’s, a loving husband, father and grandfather, and an occasional dominoes player capable of remarkably finding an extra domino at exactly the right time, with a wink of his eye letting you know it was no accident.

Born in Cuba on May 19, 1934, he was the son of the late Loto and Marca García. Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Oraida (Acosta) García; his son, Raimondo García and his wife, Dana; his daughter, Soraya García; 5 grandchildren,

Alexandra, Christopher, Andrew, Jacob, and Lily.

Relatives and friends are invited to Raimundo’s viewing at St. Patrick’s Church, 714 DeKalb St., Norristown, PA 19401 on Saturday, May 20, 2023 from 9:00am to 9:45am with his Funeral Mass starting at 10:00am. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, W. Conshohocken, PA.
