Randy Edward Pensack

Randy Edward Pensack, 70, of Tunkhannock, passed away peacefully on September 10, 2026 at Allied Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Scranton after a nine month battle with lung cancer. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Ann Marie (Hughes) Pensack. Born in Factoryville on November 5, 1955, he was the son of the late Edward and Alice (Novak) Pensack. He was a 1973 graduate of Lackawanna Trail High School.

Randy worked for Procter & Gamble before becoming co-owner of the Dalton Country Store with his wife, brother-in-law, and sister-in-law, retiring in 2015. An avid New York sports fan, he enjoyed many trips to Yankee Stadium and Giants games with his wife and kids. When he wasn’t working in the backyard, he could be found playing darts with friends, on the golf course, running the cornhole boards at family parties, or whipping up his famous kielbasa and sausage. He was affectionately known as Papa Randog to his grandkids, and he loved nothing more than spending time with them and teaching them their preshot golf routines.

Along with his wife, he is survived by two children; a daughter, Amy Farris and her husband John of Dunmore; a son Jason Pensack and his wife Danielle of South Abington Twp.; grandchildren Sadie, Cole, Cooper, and Connor Pensack; brother-in-law Robert Hughes of Connecticut, sister-in-law Diane Hughes of Clarks Summit; numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by a sister, Linda Brown and brother-in-law Joseph Hughes.

The family is deeply grateful to the entire 3rd floor staff at Allied Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation Center for their loving care. In keeping with Randy’s wishes, there will be no formal funeral service. Arrangements are by the Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., Bridgeport, PA under the care of his niece, Heather M. Hughes, FD.
