Raymond C. Lorenz

LORENZ, RAYMOND C., on March 24, 2010 in Colfax, WI, formerly of Philadelphia.  Beloved husband of the late Mitzi (nee Almeida) Lorenz of Philadelphia.  Father of Michael R. (Patricia), Jeffrey R. (Mary)and Raymond G. (Kathleen).  Also survived by 12 grandchildren: Rita, Marcus, Lisa, John, Erica, Matthew, Jeffrey, Mary, Kate, Andrew, Rebecca, and Joe, 2 step-grandchildren: Kelsey and Shannon, 1 great-grandchild: Riley.  Ray was a graduate of Northeast Catholic High School (’47) and a veteran of the US Navy.  Ray earned a living working with his hands as a welder and sheet metal mechanic for over 40 years as an employee of Lynn Mechanical Contractors of Cinnaminson, NJ.  He was also an avid outdoorsmen who loved to fish and hunt and was a Charter member of the Philbuck Hunt Club.  Ray was also a youth sports coach at Tacony PAL for several years while his boys and their friends were growing up.  Ray loved spending time with his family and friends and especially adored his wonderful grandchildren.  Relatives and friends are invited to the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home 6643-45 Torresdale Ave. (at Unruh Ave.) Philadelphia, PA 19135 Sunday 7 - 9 P.M. and Monday 8:30 – 9:30 A.M. A funeral Mass will be celebrated Monday 10:00 A.M at St. Leo’s the Great Catholic Church.  Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
