Regina M Hardimon, "Tina", 81, of Wyncote, PA passed away peacefully on Friday February 3, 2023 at Normandy Farms Estate in Blue Bell, PA. Regina was born in Philadelphia on June 28,1941, a daughter of the late John and Gertrude Donnelly. She was the widow of the late William J Hardimon.
Tina grew up in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia and was a lifelong resident of the city. Tina was a graduate of the inaugural 1959 class of Cardinal Dougherty and went on to graduate from St. Joseph’s University and to receive her master’s degree from Villanova University. She began her career as a teacher in Philadelphia before becoming a counselor with Catholic Charities and forming her private practice. Tina’s deep and enduring Catholic faith sustained her throughout her life. She went through life with a spiritual and optimistic attitude that affected all who met her.
Tina’s greatest joy was spending time with her family and friends. She was the life of any party she attended, hosted, or decided to have on her way up from the beach. She loved her summers in Sea Isle City, NJ, sitting in her beach chair, riding her bike, walking the beach and promenade, having spaghetti dinners, and hosting countless parties. She passed on and nurtured her love of the shore to her children and grandchildren. She shared her love of Jersey strawberries, tomatoes, and peaches with us. Tina loved reading a good book, attending the theater, and singing along with any Broadway show tune that may be playing on the radio. She loved celebrating life and any occasion with her family and friends.
Her greatest love was her husband, Bill, who sadly predeceased her in 2000. She traveled the world with Bill and found joy wherever they went. Since 1999, Marco Island, FL became her winter home where she was a daily communicant and continued her summer lifestyle.
Tina loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally and sought to have them join her in all her adventures. Her brothers and sisters have remained a touchstone throughout her life. Tina’s nieces and nephews brought a constant stream of joy and laughter to her life. Her sorority sisters have remained a prominent part of her life, and there are adventures with them that are yet untold. She embraced everyone she met, and Tina’s family extended to those whom she loved dearly and to all who knew her. With Tina, there was always room for one or even twenty more at the table. She will be sadly missed by everyone who met her but more so by those who loved her, especially her children, grandchildren, siblings, in-laws, nieces, and nephews, not to mention her friends whom she considered family. The Fourth of July will be much quieter without her.
Regina is survived by her children, Christopher Hardimon (Lisa), Debbie Hardimon, Jeff Hardimon (Nancy), her grandchildren, Matthew, Andrew (Kathryn), Sara, Connor and fiancee Maddy, Madison and Quinn. She is also survived by her siblings, John Donnelly (Kathy), Mary Graham, Patty Nielands (John), Michael Donnelly (Susan), Maureen Durso (Rich) and Terry Donnelly (Maria), as well as many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a brother, Gregory.
Relatives and friends are invited to her visitation Saturday, February 11th from 9:30 to 10:50 AM and to her funeral mass at 11:00 AM both at St. Hillary of Poitier's Church, 820 Susquehanna Road, Rydal, PA 19046.
