Earth has grown a little more somber, but we can be sure there’s gleeful laughter echoing in the halls of heaven tonight. Renee Marie Dorsheimer, age 32, of Collingdale, PA, passed suddenly at Mercy Fitzgerald hospital, September 1st, 2026.
Born May 28th, 1994, to Glen Allen and Emily Marie Dorsheimer, Renee was a force to be reckoned with. She attained her high school diploma while raising her beloved son Haiden and never passed up an opportunity to improve their lives. She worked diligently to put herself through school and graduated from Ultimate Medical Academy in 2015 with an associate degree in Medical Administrative Assistance.
Renee took immense pride in raising her son to be an honest, empathic young man. She was constantly pushing herself, always lending a helping hand or a sympathetic ear. She was engaged to her soulmate and best friend Charles Wood. She leaves behind a legacy of compassion and kindness.
Renee was always ready with a quick one-liner or playful jab. She could make people laugh even during the most challenging of times. She is remembered for her quick wit and kind heart and motherly nature.
A huge fan of Halloween, Renee loved all things spooky and was a master of costume makeup. She was also a talented artist from an early age and had developed a love of crocheting. Renee loved animals and brought home many strays over the years including cats and reptiles, which she provided with a loving home.
When not caring for her loved ones or rescuing animals Renee could often be found playing video games on her computer. Even here, in virtual worlds, her loving spirit shined through, often giving up in-game equipment and sacrificing her character to help her friends.
She is survived by her beloved son Haiden Granger, fiancée Charles Woods, parents Glen Allen and Emily Marie Dorsheimer, siblings Steven Samuel Rodriquez, Courtney Lynn Dorsheimer, Johnathan Steven (Johnny) Dorsheimer, Lyndzey Lorraine Dorsheimer and her many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her grandparents Bonnie and Steve Beatty, Lorraine and Francis Dorsheimer, and Audrey Stout. She was preceded in death by her grandmother Sandy Long and childhood friend Paul.
A service in Renee’s honor will be held on October 10th with a visitation beginning at 1PM and memorial service at 2PM at The Fairview Village Church Fireside Chapel – Fairview Village Campus, 3044 W Germantown Pike, Eagleville, PA, 19403.
In leu of flowers the family is accepting donations to Haiden’s trust fund. Donations can be made out to: Haiden Coull Granger UPAUTMA and sent to PNC Bank 100 East Germantown Pike, East Norriton, PA. 19401.
