Richard J. Elliott

Richard J. Elliott passed away suddenly on Tuesday, March 18, 2014 at Paoli Hospital in Paoli, PA. He was 78. Mr. Elliott was a resident of Wayne, PA. He was a retired business services supervisor for Peco Energy. Richard was a member of Sacred Heart Church in Swedesburg, PA. He was an avid golfer, runner and dancer. Richard also enjoyed playing the guitar and singing. Mr. Elliott was a US Navy veteran.Born in Philadelphia, PA on February 28, 1936, he was a son of the late Richard H. and Alice (McDevitt) Elliott. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 9 years, Irene (Kupczyk) Elliott; a daughter, Maryanne E. Shelton and her husband, James, of West Chester, PA; a granddaughter, Maryssa Shelton; many nephews and nieces; and many step-children; step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother, James Elliott. Relatives & friends are invited to Richard's Funeral Mass at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St., Swedesburg, PA on Saturday, March 22, 2014 at 10:00 am. His viewing will be Saturday from 9 to 9:50 am, at the church.
