Richard A. 'Dick' Griffith

Richard A. "Dick" Griffith passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 31, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at Einstein Medical Center Montgomery in E. Norriton, PA. He was 74. Mr. Griffith was a resident of Eagleville, PA. He worked as a heavy equipment operator for the former R.W. Morello Excavating in the 1970's and Geppert Brothers from1977 to 1996. Dick was a member of Local 542 Operating Engineers. He liked classic cars, motorcycles, ultimate wresting, and his North Wildwood shore house. He enjoyed family time and he especially loved spending time with his "little buddy", Randy. Dick was a heart transplant survivor, which he received in November of 1996.Born in Norristown, PA on July 27, 1938, he was a son of the late C. Wilbur and Frances C. (Hack) Griffith. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 53 years, Rose Marie "Tiny" (Morello) Griffith; a son, Richard A. "Rick" Griffith and his wife, Carol Lee, of Audubon, PA; a daughter, Renee G. Collins and her husband, Roger, of Collegeville, PA; 5 grandchildren: Lauren and her husband, Todd Williams, Ricky, Roger, Ryan and Randy; a sister, Patricia D'Annunzio of Eagleville, PA; and many nephews and nieces. Relatives and friends are invited to Dick's Prayer Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202) Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, November 3, 2012 at 12:30 pm. His viewing will be Saturday from 11 to 12:20 pm, at the funeral home.
