Richard Jackson, 69, of Philadelphia, PA, passed away on Tuesday, September 27th, 2022, at Albert Einstein Medical Center.
Richard was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 16, 1953, a son of the late Anne C. Birch.
Richard was a kind, gentle man who was able to bring life and laughter to those he was around. Although being of special needs, Richard loved people, and his family. He loved the outdoors and going to the Kingdom Hall with all the people that loved him as well. He was one who rarely let his disabilities get in the way of enjoying the company of those he loved. Although the pandemic hit, he was overjoyed to get back to his routine of going out to his day care program. There too, he will be missed.
He often mentioned the hope he had been taught from the Bible of a time when death and sickness will no longer be with us, as is promised in the Bible at Revelation 21:3 & 4. Because of scriptures like this, he looked forward to the time when he would see his mother, grandmother, and others who he knew, but had passed away.
Richard was a good brother and we now look forward to seeing him awaken from sleep. Rest in peace Rich – see you later!!
He is survived by his brother, Charles.
No services will be held at this time.
Services have been entrusted to the Walter J. Meyers Funeral Home.
