Richard G. Kondan

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Richard George Kondan, who left us on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, at his residence with his family in King of Prussia, PA. He was 82 years old.

Born July 26,1943 in Philadelphia, PA, Richard was the cherished son of Peter and Elizabeth (Bartl) Kondan. He graduated from John Bartram High School in 1961 and then pursued higher education at Penn State University.

Throughout his life, Richard was known for his unwavering kindness, generosity, and sarcastic sense of humor. He dedicated most of his career to Consolidated Rail Corporation (CONRAIL). Richard was an avid hunter, even coming out of retirement to harvest his last buck in 2023. He enjoyed spending time on the golf course and spent many fun-loving years with the Toads Golf Club. In his spare time, he liked collecting coins and, when allowed by his most loving and supportive wife, spent time at the casino. Above all, his family always came first. He leaves behind a legacy of unwavering commitment and a warm spirit. Richard will be deeply missed but fondly remembered for the love, joy, and inspiration he brought into the lives of all who knew him.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Rita L. (Santoro) Kondan with whom he shared 60 beautiful years. He is also survived by his sons Richard L. Kondan and his wife Joanne (Galanti), and Peter Kondan and his wife Robin Liebman, and daughter Maria (Kondan) Sedor and her husband Michael. He is the proud grandfather of Ricky Kondan, Alyssa (Sedor) Stein and Mickey Sedor; and great grandfather to Harley Kondan, Henry Stein and Maria Stein.

A memorial service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, January 3, 2026. Family and friends are invited to gather, share memories, and celebrate Richard's remarkable life from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a short service to follow.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Richard’s name to Saint Jude’s Children’s Hospital. Condolences to the family may be posted at www.bacchifh.com.
