Richard Joseph Krasowski, affectionately known as “Prez,” passed away peacefully on May 10, 2026, at the age of 88, after a long battle with cancer.

Born to the late Tessie and Joseph Krasowski, Richard grew up in the Bridesburg section of Philadelphia and later raised his family in the Port Richmond neighborhood, a community he remained deeply connected to throughout his life. He was also predeceased by his brother, Edward Krasowski.

Much of his life was devoted to caring for others, including his disabled brother, Edward, and his mother when she needed him most, all while providing for his own family. He accepted those responsibilities with an unwavering sense of duty.

Richard was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was the beloved husband of the late Helene (née Wilk) Krasowski and a proud and loving father to his three children: Marie Holmes (Robert), Joseph Krasowski, and Stephen Krasowski (Marybeth).

Nothing brought Richard greater pride and happiness than his role as grandfather to his cherished grandchildren: Matthew Hrouda (Cassandra), David Hrouda (Jordan), Christopher Hrouda (Hannah), Joseph Krasowski, Abigail Krasowski, Daniel Holmes, Madelyn Holmes, Jacob Krasowski, and Benjamin Krasowski.

Richard was respected for being hardworking and devoted to the people he loved. Though reserved by nature, his quiet strength, resilience, and unwavering dedication will be remembered always by those fortunate enough to know him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Richard’s visitation on Wednesday, May 27, 2026, from 10:00 am-10:45 am followed by his Funeral Mass starting at 11:00 am, both held at St. Ephrem’s Church, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020.

Interment will will be private.
