Richard Montgomery, age 88, of Philadelphia passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 30, 2025.
A graduate of West Catholic High School, he was an over 40-year veteran of the Philadelphia Fire Department, half of that time as a Fire Boat Pilot on Marine 2 on the Schuylkill River. Richard was also an Army Veteran, serving overseas in the 1950’s.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife Katherine (Pearlstein), brother James, of Sacremento, CA, son Robert (Tara) and grandson Harrison, as well as nieces and nephews.
Relatives and friends are invited to his graveside service at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery on Wednesday, December 3rd at 11:00 AM. The cemetery is located at 3301 W Cheltenham Ave. Phila., PA.
