Richard G. Schaefer

Schaefer Richard G. Schaefer Jr. Passed peacefully at his home on July 4, 2013 at the age of 84.  Dick is the son of the late Richard G. Sr. and Mary R. (Crowley) Schaefer Dick’s main focus in his life became his grandchildren, and he retired from Graphic Packaging to assist in the care of his grandchildren.  He established the CYO program at St. Eleanor Parish in Collegeville; he founded the Cub Scout pack at Woodland School.  He was a member of Pope John Paul I Knights of Columbus Council # 7565 and a Charter member of 4th Degree Father Tomko Assembly.  Dick was married to the love of his life Emma (Villanova) Schaefer for 66 years.  He is the beloved father of Rick (Rhonda), Denise Jeitles, Keith (Maryjo) and Kevin (Donna).  He is predeceased by one granddaughter Melissa Schaefer.  He is the loving Grandfather of Amanda, Rebecca, Zachary and Caitlin Schaefer and Mike Rowan; and the Great Grandfather of Ryan Schaefer and Michael and Mason Rowan. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing Monday July 8, 2013 from 7-9 PM and Tuesday July 9 from 8:30-9:30 AM at the Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, PC 101 N Park Ave. Trooper, PA 19403.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on July 9, 2013 at 10 AM at Visitation BVM Church.  Interment will be at St Augustine Cemetery in King of Prussia.  In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to Regina Nursing Center 550 E Fornance St. Norristown, PA 19401 would be appreciated.  Condolences: www.MeyersFH.com
