Rita Gasbarra

Rita Gasbarra, 86, of Abington passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 17, 2017 while in the company of family, at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late Mario “Gas” Gasbarra for 63 years before his passing in 2012. Rita was born in Abington, PA on February 7, 1931, a daughter of the late Antonette (Roberto) and Frank DeCicco. Rita was a long time caregiver and housewife and was part of the family Rose growing business of Frank DeCicco and sons in Roslyn and worked for many years for Logo One in Glenside. She is the loving mother of Theresa Gasbarra, Barbara Wilhelm (Jack) and Marie Rementer (Chuck); she is the devoted Grandmother of Jack, Lisa, Chuck and Samantha; and Great Grandmother of Brayden and Max. She is also the devoted sister of Joseph DeCicco. Family will receive relatives and friends from 9 to 9:50 AM and a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 am, both on Monday, May 22, 2017 at Our Lady Help of Christians Church 1500 Marian Rd. in Abington, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Sjogren's Syndrome Foundation 6707 Democracy Blvd. Bethesda, MD 20817. Interment will be at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery.
