Robert "Bob" M. Kovack

Robert M. “Bob” Kovack passed away peacefully on Monday, June 11, 2018 at Regina Nursing Center in Norristown, PA. He was 80. Mr. Kovack was a former resident of Conshohocken, PA. He worked as a Stationary Engineer for Smurfit-Stone Container Corp. in Manayunk, PA. Bob was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church in Bridgeport, PA. He was also a member of the Conshohocken TK Club, and the VFW Post in Conshohocken. Prior to Bob’s illness, he was an avid hunter, enjoyed fishing and woodworking. He was a US Navy Veteran, serving from 1957 to 1961, aboard the USS Shangri-La. Born in Mount Carmel, PA on May 7, 1938, he was a son of the late Michael and Anna (Balitchik) Kovach. He was the husband of the late Lois M. (Narum) Kovack, who died in March of 2017. Surviving is his loving family including a son, Robert M. Kovach, Jr. and his wife, Denise, of Douglassville, PA; a daughter, Joanne Brown and her husband, Joseph, of Conshohocken, PA; eight grandchildren: Justin, Sarah, Rachel, Christopher, Theresa, Nicole, Danielle and Jennifer; five great-grandchildren: Ella, Zoey, Connor, Skyler, and Alexis; a sister, Dorothy Wisniewski of Conshohocken; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Marianne McMichael, and a brother, John Kovach. Relatives & friends are invited to His Divine Liturgy at SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, 519 Union Ave, Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Friday, June 22, 2018 at 10:00 am. Interment will be in SS. Peter & Paul Ukrainian Cemetery, King of Prussia. Arrangements are by The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., Bridgeport, PA 19405. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Bob’s memory to Regina Nursing Center, 550 E.
